As St. Francis Xavier Catholic School prepares to celebrate its 80th anniversary, we find ourselves still trying to overcome the impact from Hurricane Irma.  More than $500,000 in assessed damage was caused to our school by the torrential rain and brutal winds this storm brought to our Southwest Florida Coast.

If you notice the statue of Our Blessed Mary you will see the enclosure was crushed but she remained untouched; hence the inspiration for our Rebuilding on Faith Campaign.  To date we have raised $200,000 to fund the immediate repair/replacement/renovation of our roof, fencing, classrooms, courtyard and technology.

To complete our campaign and honor our school’s legacy, we created the 80th Anniversary Challenge.  Phase One, begins with student and staff achieving 100% participation and creating community awareness and help raise $50,000.  Phase Two, reaches out to our donors and community partners and Phase Three concludes with our End of Year Gala.

It is with humble and hopeful hearts that we turn to those who believe in the values and traditions of Catholic education and ask for your generous support.  Phase One, of the 80th Anniversary Challenge, ends on October 31, 2018.  We pray to raise the additional $250,000 and close our 80th Anniversary with a unified spirit of support among our school families, alumni and generous donors. As the first Catholic School in Southwest Florida, we thank you for your consideration to secure our school’s legacy to “Be Like Christ” for generations to come.
